Yadav & Vennam Set Archery World Record in Madrid

Indian archers Rishabh Yadav and Jyothi Surekha Vennam made history at the 2025 Archery World Cup in Madrid by establishing a new compound mixed team world record. Their combined score of 1431 points with 70 Xs in the qualification round surpassed the previous record of 1429, held by Denmark. This remarkable achievement highlights India’s growing dominance in compound archery.

Beyond the mixed team success, both athletes showcased exceptional individual form. Rishabh Yadav topped the compound men’s qualification, scoring an impressive 716 points – his personal best at an international event. Similarly, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, an Asian Games champion, secured the top seed in the compound women’s qualification with her own international personal best of 715 points. Their stellar performances in Madrid have also cemented their positions on India’s team for the upcoming Gwangju 2025 World Archery Championships, positioning them as strong contenders for future international glory.
